Piratas de Nabia has taken the children of Aldeas Infantiles SOS Galicia to enjoy Ons Island.
The trip was a unique opportunity for the children who live under the care of Aldeas Infantiles to get to know the landscapes of the Rías Baixas as a kick-off to their summer camp.
A group of 14 girls and boys who currently live in the village of Redondela, accompanied by 2 monitors of the NGO, enjoyed last Monday, June 24, a different day. They made the crossing from Bueu in one of our boats spending a sunny day on the island of Ons. For most of these children it was a unique and unforgettable opportunity. Many of them come from families that for different reasons have not been able to take care of them, much less offer them the possibility to make an excursion to the island, as any other child in their environment could have done.
In the words of Cristina Gaona, head of Corporate Relations of Aldeas Infantiles SOS GaliciaFrom Aldeas Infantiles, we want to show our gratitude, once again, to the whole team of Pirates of Nabia that has made possible this fabulous day of leisure, bringing one of the wonders of the Galician coast to the children with whom we work in our protection project”.
Since 1957, Aldeas Infantiles has served more than 13,000 children throughout Spain. With their daily work and activities such as this one, they seek to integrate children at risk or in distress into their families and society.
On behalf of the entire shipping company, we would like to thank the entire team of Aldeas Infantiles SOS Redondela for having trusted our shipping company. We were delighted to have you on board and, above all, that everyone enjoyed a good start to their summer camp 2024.
