During the month of December, we reinforce our programming with special outings and exclusive proposals that allow you to enjoy both the illuminated city and the most emblematic natural areas of the surroundings.
Christmas Solidarity Boat: lights, animation and solidarity
One of the great protagonists of this holiday season is the Christmas Solidarity Boat, a night experience along the Vigo estuary that allows you to contemplate the famous Christmas lights from the sea and enjoy an incredible evening.
On board, passengers will enjoy music, entertainment, children’s games and chocolate with churros included in the ticket, making the crossing an ideal plan for families. In addition, this initiative has a solidary character: part of the proceeds of each ticket is destined to a local social entity “Aulas Abiertas“, reinforcing our social commitment with the city.
Places are limited and demand increases as the most important dates approach, so we recommend booking in advance.
Mussel Route: Christmas also tastes of estuary
The authentic Mussel Route with tasting continues to be active during Christmas as one of the most authentic gastronomic experiences of the Vigo estuary. This route allows you to learn about the work in the rafts, the importance of Galician mussels and enjoy a tasting on board, accompanied by wine or soft drink.
It is a perfect activity for both visitors and residents looking for a different plan, quiet and closely linked to the Galician seafaring tradition.
Cíes Islands in winter and Pre-Campanadas from Paradise
During these dates, in Piratas de Nabia we maintain the excursions to the Cíes Islands with guided routes, a unique opportunity to discover the National Park in low season, with less affluence and a particularly quiet environment.
As a special proposal, we will organize on December 31 the Pre-campanadas in the Cíes Islands, a different experience to say goodbye to the year in the middle of nature, surrounded by sea, landscape and good atmosphere.
You will be able to do the “New Year’s Eve” ritual on Rhodes Beach and you will be able to eat the 12 grapes on board of our catamaran. An original plan for those who want to close the year away from the noise and closer to the essentials.
Extended schedules and facilities to enjoy Vigo without a car
On the occasion of Christmas, our shipping company extends the schedules of the regular line Moaña-Vigo, facilitating access to the center of Vigo without the need of a car. This option is ideal for those who want to enjoy the lights, dine in the city or spend more time in the Christmas atmosphere without worrying about traffic or parking. On Fridays and Saturdays, trips will be extended until 00:30 h, being the last trip Vigo-Moaña. While on Sundays, the last trip Vigo-Moaña will be at 22:30 h.
