Atlantic Islands of Galicia has been awarded with the ‘Starlight’ Seal, now considered a tourist destination of interest for stargazing as it is protected from light pollution and has the appropriate facilities.
The Starlight Initiative is conceived as an international campaign in defense of the quality of the night skies and the general right to observe the stars, fighting directly against the great problem posed by the Light Pollution of our skies .
The cleanliness of the sky of the Cies Islands is a nocturnal spectacle full of nuances and contrasts that allow to develop activities of Astronomical Observation almost at any time of the year.
There are several points of observation that the Cíes have, observation points in which to study, enjoy and learn about the stellar mantle that covers the Island.
