Tickets to Ons Island, the steps you have to follow

In case you are considering going to Ons Island, you should know what you have to do to get the ticket and go on one of the boats. Depending on the time you want to travel, you will have to book it with more time or not and in some cases have an authorization.

Do you want to know everything you need? Well, stay and read this to be clear before taking out your ticket and thus getting on the boat safely. Let’s go there!

Do I need an authorization?

The first step is to know when you are going to go and if you are going to spend the night. Well, one of the issues that generate more doubts is the issue of authorization. This is mandatory if you are going to get your ticket at Easter or in season, that is, from May 15 to September 15.

But this is not only here,

To go to Ons or the Cíes Islands there are two types of authorizations and depending on whether you spend the night or not you will have to take one or the other. Here you can get the authorization for daily visitor, once you request it, you just have to validate the code on the shipping company website when buying the ticket. If you are going to spend the night, you will only have to provide all the information to the accommodation, since it is the Camping Isla de Ons or Pensión Casa Acuña establishment itself that is in charge of managing your authorization.

This means that, from September 16 to May 15, except Easter, it is not necessary to obtain authorization and your data and the boat ticket will suffice for you to arrive. If it is still not very clear, you can read this post that we made to help you with this issue since we know that it can be very confusing.

Where to take the boat and duration of the journey

The second step is to get the ticket to travel. It is important that you know that our boats to take you to the island of Ons leave from Bueu, Portonovo and in July and August also from Vigo. You can get the ticket on our page in the Isla de Ons section.

The longest journey is to Vigo, which lasts about an hour and a quarter. However, if you take out your ticket to leave Bueu and Portonovo, the journey will be shorter, between half an hour and 45 minutes more or less.

Prices start at € 15 per ticket for adults and a special price for children. It is very important now to choose the time to make the most of the time, the first boats usually leave around 10 in the morning and return at approximately 8 pm.

Once you know the day you are traveling, where you are going to leave and the time, the last step is to buy the ticket and wait for the day to arrive. Enjoying the trip and the experience is the most important thing. Without a doubt it is a paradise that you will not regret visiting.

You can take advantage of these last days that you do not need authorization and just take your ticket by boat to visit the Island of Ons, also in spring you can enjoy the tranquility of having them emptier for you. You can also encourage yourself to visit us in season. We will comply with all the security measures for you and we are looking forward to you coming to visit us.

In case you have any type of doubt regarding the authorization or the boat trip, you can call us at 986 320 048 and we will help you organize everything. So you know, here we are at your disposal, will you come?
