The O Peito Lighthouse Trail: a trek through the northern island
The O Peito Lighthouse Trail also sets out from the information booth. It goes to the north towards Figueiras Beach and climbs to the island’s main crossroads. From there, it continues to A Valgada, a low hillock with no vegetation, and afterwards, a track will bring you to the slopes of Alto de Monteagudo. At the crossroads, the road to your left will take you to the bird observatory, but if you continue to the O Peito Lighthouse, you’ll have to go down a path. From there, you can feast your eyes on the cliffs on the Costa da Vela and the silhouette of Ons Island. Once there, if you continue along a small cement track, you’ll get to the Furna de Monteagudo.
