The Lighthouse Trail starts with a climb up the main street of O Curro. Upon reaching the crossroads, turn right and continue along the paved track that winds its way among fishermen’s houses and hórreos and climbs towards the village of O Cucorno. From there, you can see the Ons Lighthouse, which was built in 1926 and is one of the few remaining in Spain today that is still manned by a lighthouse keeper. Before arriving at the lighthouse, turn to the left. You’ll get the best views from the heliport. Get back on the same track as before; it will take you to the western side of the island. Skirt the cliffs of Enseada de Caniveliñas. From the fountain, which is at its lowest point, you’ll see a path that crosses Ons Island at its narrowest stretch. Take it to get back to the starting point.
